Editor Christopher Writes – #PoemADayForAYear: 27/04/15. NaPoWriMo Day Twenty-Seven

The prompt from NaPoWriMo.net for today is a hay(na)ku. I still have a philosophy essay hanging over my head so let’s get to it.

Christopher

I

want to

believe all that.

I

do. I

really, truly do.

But.

Thing is.

It’s all bollocks.

Right?

It is,

is it not?

Fairies!

That’s it.

Language of fairies.

Magic,

make believe,

sprinkle twinkly dust.

That

is exactly

what you do.

And

I wanted

to believe you.

I

did. I

really, truly did.

But,

the evidence

is too compelling.

Time

and time

and time again.

You

just can

not help yourself.

And

it hurts.

Head to toe.

To

be honest,

I’m too tired.

Too

tired for

all these games.

Just,

please, tell

me the truth.

You

did it

again, didn’t you?

You

left the

toilet seat up.

Birth to Earth

Like John Hurt

In Alien,

Child birth will hurt,

Feel alien.

Nothing seems right about

Carrying a ripened belly of child about

For nine or so

Months and so,

I shudder at the prospect of the positive result,

Those two small stripes which will result,

In me being ecstatic about becoming a mother
